CATL Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with CHD
On October 22, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (CATL) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Huadian Corporation Ltd. (CHD) in Beijing.
According to the Agreement, both parties will give full play to their advantages in resources and business, strengthen the cooperation of brand, market, technology and product in the fields of energy storage, new energy and integrated intelligent energy, to make contributions to the transformation of energy system in China.
CATL and CHD has established cooperation on Shandong Huadian Tengzhou 100MWh centralized electrochemical energy storage project. The project covers an area of about 40 mu (around 2.67 hectares) and it is going to build 100MW/200MWh lithium-ion battery energy storage system. It is one of the first demonstration projects of energy storage for peak shaving in Shandong, which is of great significance in promoting the application of new energy storage technology and development of the industry.
