CATL Signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement with JAC

On January 6, Jianghuai Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (JAC) and CATL signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Ningde, Fujian Province. 

According to the agreement, both parties will actively cooperate in the supply of EV batteries, introduction of battery swapping technology, joint development and application of new technologies and products, market expansion at home and abroad, and carbon emission reduction across the industry chain, and work together to formulate an action plan and build a strategic alliance. 

In the field of EV battery, CATL will provide JAC with new EV battery products and technologies, improve the integration of R&D, production, sales, and jointly create competitive EV models by adopting technologies that highly integrate vehicle platform and batteries. 

In terms of technological cooperation, the two parties will set up a R&D team to jointly develop and apply new technologies and products, promote the introduction of CIIC skateboard chassis technology, determine the applicable models of CIIC skateboard chassis, and work out cooperation programs and development plans based on the actual needs. 

In addition, the two parties will cooperate deeply in branding, product marketing, quality cultivation, customer service, and talent training to jointly create more affordable products with higher quality, and promote the leapfrog development of both parties.
